David trained at Salisbury & Wells Theological College and has been Ordained since 1987. Following a Curacy in Penrith he was Assistant Priest in St. Albans (and Chaplain to the Police & Oaklands Further Education College). He then served as Vicar of Milton in Stoke-on-Trent and Rural Dean of Leek before moving to Windermere (and Troutbeck) eight years later. In September 2019 he was appointed Rector of Grasmere, Vicar of Rydal and Chaplain at Rydal Hall.
